Want some Good News from Iraq?
I have chosen not to write about Veterans Day, nor about President Bush's excellent speech. While I think the celebration and the speech are both extremely important - easily worthy of my humble blog-o-talents demonstrated herein, I often tend to let the more popular headlines go because they are being covered by, well, everyone else. They simply don't need my help!
This story does - and it needs to get out to the American public.
Liberal politicians, pundits and welfare-grubbing moonbats are fond of pointing out that the Iraqis "Didn't accept us (the coalition) with open arms and flowers." Well, a very large portion of Iraq did just that -- and they still sing our praises!
First, check out this excellent commercial by an organization called "Kurdistan - The Other Iraq."
Then, contemplate what this means to those 50 million people in the world that the coalition have liberated. There is good news out there - but good luck finding it in Main-Stream Media.
Still not convinced? For the broader view of Iraqi progress, check out Iraq the Model for an Iraqi view from the inside. Then, if you are incredibly stubborn and simply refuse to believe good things about Iraq, give it one more shot at Operation Iraqi Children.
And for all of my comrades, past and present, Happy Veterans Day!
